We had a zoom party with Lauren Sparkles for my 1 year old’s birthday and it was brilliant. In these times when we cannot be together for such events, this was a great way to celebrate with the family, in various households around the UK. Lauren was engaging and the activities were perfect for the ages 1-5 years (which I requested). Every child was able to participate with ideas and it was easy to flip between seeing just Lauren and our camera, to seeing everyone on the gallery view. Even the grandparents had a blast. It had long been a family joke that I had always wanted to be a ballet dancer- never a chance! I had come across Lauren as she was my little granddaughter’s favourite ballet teacher. Suffice to say it was a ginormous hit, we all had so much fun. Lauren pitched it perfectly for an age range from 3 – 70. I run a little Montessori nursery in North London and the highlight of our week is our music class with one of Lucy’s friends, Harry Sparkles. The children are completely captivated for the entire session! Harry brings such enthusiasm and energy into the room and is so personable he is able to get the shyest of little beans to join in. Armed with his guitar, saxophone and clarinet, as well as a bag full of props, the children have learned so much. We have had to rotate the days that he comes so everyone can have a turn! Thea and her friend Emilia had a wonderful ‘Out at Sea’ fifth birthday party. We were amazed at how Anna Sparkles kept all 30 children fully involved and captivated for a full hour. We have been to entertainment parties before where it has been difficult to hear, but Anna’s voice carried easily. The party organisation and communication was all very friendly and professional. Jocelyn was such a wonderful entertainer. It was a long shift in a noisy room and she managed to sustain the kids’ attention so so well. My daughter was so happy and so many parents came up to tell me ‘Elsa’ (Jocelyn) was brilliant, as well as her assistant (Joy). I just wanted to say a really big thankyou for your and Gemma’s sterling efforts at Sophia’s party on Saturday. It was super noisy and super warm but you still managed to capture all the children’s attention! Brilliant dragon games, a lovely way with the children (even my totally overwhelmed birthday girl was wide-eyed and joining in), limitless energy and you have a truly beautiful voice.
